If you have a misdemeanor can you still get a job?

I have a malicious destruction of property charge against me (in another state) and all I have to do is pay $350 in restitution and fines and it will be resolved. I haven't paid yet but I am working on it. Will I still be able to get a job if when they ask on the application I am honest and write it down and tell them about it?
